    PART TIME LESLIEVILLE SALES ASSOCIATE

    We are an independent card and gift shop with locations in both Roncesvalles and Leslieville and we are looking for someone to join our Leslieville team.

    PART TIME SALES ASSOCIATE - 1140 Queen St E. 

    Starting Wage $17.25/hr

    We are looking to hire one employee for our Leslieville location. Option to work at both locations  is a bonus for us, please include that detail when applying.

    This is a part time position needing a two day commitment including Saturday. It’s approximately 12-13 hours though we do ask for flexibility to take on more shifts when needed or as the needs of the store grows. 

    Qualifications:

    • Has some retail experience

    • Enjoys interacting with people and feels comfortable in a social environment

    • Flexibility is preferred to cover vacation time/sick days etc. Please also let us know if there is an option to cover at Roncesvalles if needed.

    • Is self-motivated and takes initiative helping to improve our shop and our customers' experiences

    • Dependable and reliable

    • Quick to learn and comfortable in the higher paced seasons

    • Has a creative side and a love of handmade

    • Has an understanding of using a POS system -- we use Lightspeed; a cloud based point of sale

    • Familiarity with Shopify is appreciated but not required

    Responsibilities:

    • Customer Service is our #1 expectation from staff. Greeting and guiding customers; engaging authentically while sharing brand stories, providing a comfortable and welcoming space for them. Building on customer relationships.

    • Learning brand stories and product knowledge

    • Receiving merchandise, pricing and organizing back stock

    • Re-merchandising and creating displays

    • Daily cleaning and upkeep of the shop

    • Inventory management

    • Opening and closing duties

    • Packing up and fulfilling online orders

    • Some assistance with our social media needs including instagram stories, reels and tiktok

    • Other duties as required to meet the needs of the business

    Working Conditions:

    • Ability to handle standing, bending, lifting, reaching on a regular basis.

    • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

    • Ability to work alone and sometimes after dark.

    • Ability to handle stress and conflict from time to time.

    • We are not a scent free space

    • Our bathrooms and stock rooms are in the basement

    SEASONAL SALES ASSOCIATE $17.25/hour
    We are looking for three candidates

    RONCESVALLES SALES ASSOCIATE 

    Approximately 3+ days a week. The schedule requirements will start around 2 days/week for training tin November and ramp up to 3 days/week. It will run until the end of December. We require some flexibility to pick up more shifts if needed. This is a great position for students. We are looking to fill two positions.

    LESLIEVILLE SALES ASSOCIATE

    Approximately 2-4 days/week. Training will start the in November at 2 days a week and we will add more hours as we get closer to Christmas. Flexibility is an asset! We are looking to fill one position.

    Qualifications:

    • Has some experience working in a fast-paced retail or customer service environment; bonus if you are familiar with a busy retail holiday season!
    • Enjoys interacting with people and feels comfortable in a social environment
    • Weekend availability and flexibility is preferred

    • Has an understanding of using a POS system -- we use Lightspeed X-Series
    • Familiarity with Shopify to help with online sales

    • Assisting in opening and closing duties
    • Other duties as required to meet the needs of the business
